I was sitting on a bench in the forest this summer with my dog and saw one out of the corner of my eye, no more than 15 yards away, swoop down and swipe a duck. It was terrifying. So sad too. Ducks alway hang out in male/female pairs, and the other duck was wailing over the loss of its mate.

They're really nasty mother fuckers. Just cunts really. Before they were chosen as the mascot for US, the humble rattlesnake was considered. Kind of a "if you fuck with me, I'll give you one warning before I kill you" type of animal. Eagles are a "bitch I takes what I wants" kind of animal. There's some ancient occult shit that went into the decision process, thanks Mason's, but I like the rattlesnake better.

The more nature videos I watch, the more I realise that nature sucks bigly. It really is red in tooth and claw. So many animals are arseholes, often for the hell of it, not over food or territory.

And so many people think the natural world is cute and cuddly.

Nothing has yet to beat the video of the baboon tearing apart and eating a live baby gazelle from the ass end. Those screams before it goes into shock were something else.

There was a similar one involving mongooses ripping apart a baby hare that came close.

And so many people think the natural world is cute and cuddly.

The epitome of the liberal mindset. You can even see it in the comments of brutal nature vids sometimes, along with their hyporcrisy. They're the same people that say we shouldn't interact with animals at all (in some extremes, they're anti-pet) but they see these vids and go "BuT wHy DiDn'T tHe CaMeRa CrEw HeLp!?".

You got a link?

I've seen the penguin being eaten alive through it's asshole by a pelican I think. There's that nasty one where the baby deer gets swallowed whole by the Komodo dragon and you can hear it still wailing inside its belly. Brutal stuff.

[ - ] MuricaPersonified 1 point 5 monthsDec 10, 2023 17:54:00 ago (+1/-0)

Yeah, here's the first one and here is the second.

Haven't seen the penguin one but seen pelicans eat seagulls and that komodo dragon one is rough. Vile lizards. Similar happens when people feed their pet bearded dragons live food.

I respect nature, but I'm also aware of the cruel brutality of it. It's our own arrogance to believe that we're not part of that system. We act like a flock of sheep when we're more than capable of acting like a pack of wolves. Nature is the highest order, it's reality. Hopefully one day we as a species can figure that out.

[ - ] AntiPostmodernist 0 points 5 monthsDec 10, 2023 09:55:44 ago (+0/-0)

This is why my message boils down to "be cruel to others when it is in your interests to be", it's the law of nature and the only way to get ahead in the world. So many right wingers, even among the far right will look down upon unkind actions as "degenerate" when it is the exact opposite case. It was when we started practicing morality and extending our care to all people that the world began to go to shit. We need to be more tolerant of the suffering, hardships, and misfortunes of others. We should be focusing on the stability of the society as a whole, and not on the safety of the individuals within it. I'm 100% okay with giving people the freedom to suffer and to grow more capable from it, when we try to stamp out suffering or injustice we make people spiritually empty, when we end cruelty and inequal treatment, we deprive people of the ability to enjoy their lives. I remember the old /b/ of 4chan, and how everyone was fulfilled by the freedom to be an asshole in whatever way they pleased, we lost that spirit of sadistic joy, I desperately want to get that back for us.

Kill or be killed.
There are parts of two species that possess the intelligence for empathy.
White people and dogs except shitbulls.

Ben Franklin wanted the wild Turkey as the national symbol. I'm not sure how I feel about that.

[ - ] Irelandlost 1 point 5 monthsDec 10, 2023 07:45:27 ago (+1/-0)

They do that cos they can’t kill them otherwise. They’re not just dropping the prey to kill it for fun, they return and collect the carcass for food after it’s been dropped.

Dunno. That eagle looked like it is enjoying it.

[ - ] Inward 0 points 5 monthsDec 10, 2023 09:13:15 ago (+0/-0)

A whole deer? Can an eagle really lift that? I assume it was already at the top of some mountain
