Damn! This is really good!

https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Timbs_v._Indiana

The court ruled that things like seizing Your Land Rover because you've got a small bit of weed in the car is an excessive fine and States may not do it. This puts the kibosh on police organizations seizing everything they can because they get a piece of the action when it's resold and it increases their own salaries. This is going to defund a lot of the zog police. This is amazingly good!

From your Wikipedia link

"Timbs' case was reheard by the Grant County Court, which on April 27, 2020 ruled in Timbs' favor based on the Supreme Court's ruling related to the Eighth Amendment, that seizure of the Land Rover was an excessive fine, and ordered the Land Rover returned to Timbs. While the state appealed the decision, it did agree to return the vehicle on the condition that Timbs would not sell or give it away as the case continued in court.[19]

The State of Indiana again appealed the decision all the way to the Indiana Supreme Court, who this time affirmed in a 4–1 decision the lower courts' rulings that the fine was unconstitutional. They wrote, "today, we reject the State's request to overturn precedent, as there is no compelling reason to deviate from stare decisis and the law of the case; and we conclude that Timbs met his burden to show gross disproportionality, rendering the Land Rover's forfeiture unconstitutional."[20]

Impact
edit
The Court's ruling is expected to affect the use of asset forfeiture at state and local levels, a common practice to help partially fund police forces.[14][21] There is also speculation by supporters of criminal justice reform that the decision may affect the use of confiscation of driver's licenses to compel payment of fines and fees, as well as imprisoning those unable to pay bail or fines for otherwise minor crimes.[16]

1 step forward for every 5 steps back.

The entire criminal justice/legal system is unconstitutional at this point. Bunch of uppity nigger tier IQ tyrants playing favorites in a system where money is God.

Retard. Weed is a pressure valve. They make things worse and then give people a small 'win' by easing up on something that doesn't need to be illegal in the first place.

But yeah man take your scraps and be Happy about it.

The ruling addresses ANY disproportionate fine.

It's either that, go to prison, or be killed.
