I think the only flaw is the assumption that there will be a presidential office to fill at all. They are doing everything they can to prep America for losing a war, from the inside. So if such a war is going to happen and the very people in control of the country are fighting on the other side, then it is guaranteed we lose.

Why would they bother setting up a war that they intend to lose? Because they don't have the official capacity to hand over power to another entity. Politicians are bought and paid for nearly by definition. So nothing exists to stop a country for thinking it would be in their benefit if some other country didn't exist, ascribing to that some dollar value, and paying that dollar value to the political class. It's called principle-agent mis-alignment, and there are virtually no structures in place to resolve that problem in a way that will serve us, so our country is inherently unstable and it just takes just about anybody with the will to make it collapse to make it collapse so it will happen. There is a reason why empires usually only last about 250 years. That's the point where you've become sufficiently annoying to other powers and your instabilities will be exploited. And they will be exploited successfully. There is no reason to think they won't especially when most of the population doesn't even understand that these core problems exist.

America is not going to exist. Get used to the idea. The more you get used to the idea the more you can plan what's next. There are many different what's next for many different people. But everyone who has a half decent what's next are going to be people who saw this coming a mile off and were able to meditate on it ahead of schedule and able to do the right things in the right moment and the right things in prep right now instead of being purely reactive.

We need to start thinking about setting up intentional communities because no matter what happens or the state of affairs we achieve there is something that is consistently true. An organized community carries more leverage to get good outcomes for itself than a disorganized community. It doesn't matter what the specifics are about what beam falls where when the house comes falling down. You will have a better condition if you are more organized. You will have a worse condition if you are less organized.
