Worked in Japan for awhile. Loved it there. I had a blast visiting all sorts of parks, museums, and I spent plenty of money on fun stuff to send home. Very understanding people, me with my little translation book mangling their language and all.

Keep in mind that Japanese police are trained in Judo, Aikido & Jiu Jitsu in terms of restraining techniques. What you saw there was Aikido style leverage techniques being used on the child molester. They could have broke his legs if they wanted too, but the police wanted him in pain instead.
