Is annon posting an overall good thing for this site?

I personally don't understand it. You're already anonymous here if you want to be, even if you have a username. Most of you with usernames still have like...idk...20? alts...

The reason I even ask the question in the title is that....the fucking chans got fucked. You know what they were? Completely annon, and I see a slow creep of more and more completely annon accounts posting here. The reason the chans got fucked and we didn't (at least not completely...) is because we have usernames. While we don't know who is who, necessarily, with usernames, accounts have reputations. Good or bad, doesn't matter. What matters is, we can, for instance, know that dial is gay, or that neri would be more useful dead than alive. Do you see my point?

I've never understood why we have total annon accounts on a site that's already annon, but that still (barely) functions explicitly because we have usernames.

this doesn't entail that there isn't a reason for it; you simply lack the mental capability to figure out why it matters. two things off the top of my head are that people who see your username will have a preconceived opinion about your post and second is you maybe want to post something you don't want connected to your account without making a new account.
