I’m Noticing Female Standup Comedians are Getting Better/More Sophisticated

I watch a lot of Youtube Shorts of comedians/comediennes and have recently been pleasantly surprised with the departure I’m seeing from Amy Schumer-esque tits ‘n’ twat routines into cleaner routines that depart from sexualized comedy and go more into family fare and Seinfeld-esque, clean, observational humor.
It’s like the free market has told the Amy Schumers, Awkwafinas, etc of the world “ENOUGH WITH YOUR MORONIC BULLSHIT” and the next generation of females have now upped their game or at least hired some writers. I’m even seeing improved comedic timing, delivery and crowd engagement. For probably 10+ years we’ve endured terrible female comedians who were trying to be an extremely unfunny female version of Dave Attell.

In the 80’s, we had just gotten cable and HBO was shoving unfunny bitches at me so hard that 40 years later, I still remember the names of these broads that never made me laugh. Rita Rugner, Elaine Boosler, Roseann Barr, Lisa Lampanelli, and that hat wearing dyke that went to prison for raping her foster kids, Paula Poundstone. Damn HBO to hell for causing me to recall these hacks.

There’s been a guy in every warehouse I’ve ever worked in that was funnier than any ‘professional’ female comedian.

Even when women try to make their humor more sophisticated, it's still wasted effort. Women simply aren't funny. The worst of them is Tina Fey, who actually tried to refute that on her show "30 Rock". When her character was asked to name funny female comedians, she named a few, then said "No! I'm not doing that". Then for the rest of the show, several more were named either in a song or another character naming them. Way to stay dignified and above they fray, Tina.

And that's why women aren't funny. They're just desperate and needy and crave attention.

I’m not “trying to push” it. I have been pleasantly surprised as of late with what I perceive to be a modest improvement—particularly in subject matter choices. Women are not as funny as men, but they don’t all universally suck and if you have that absolute viewpoint, then you’re likely mad that your meth-addled aunt rented you to local pedophiles or something.
