Encryption is not enough, because we don't know if the platform or dev team has the key to decrypt message encryption, Decentralized privacy tools are the right choice to go for. Because they do not have a central server to save user data(chat histories/contact list).

SimpleX and WireMin are both decentralized privacy tool and offer E2EE messaging service.
