Man, I really miss the days of the old rangers and the Mazda b series pick ups. Those small trucks were the tits. every thing is so big nowadays.

I like my truck just fine, mind ya. But I miss my '99 ranger single cab like hell. Did everything I needed it to do without any bells and whistles.

You ain't kidding. I've looked, for years. Even the "small" trucks cost an arm and a leg and have way too much crap crammed into their way-to-big frames.

I drive a Nissan frontier these days, and it's a fine truck. Damn fine. I just miss my old b2300.

Had 2007 Ford Ranger sport.

Did exactly what it was intended to do.

And no extra bullshit that wasn't needed.

Easy to work on to.

A $6,000 Kei truck has scooter motor in it.
It would JUST BARELY be able to haul those bicycles up a hill.

I see those things all the time here at the University. They're always running around doing stuff, taking care of trees, trash, roadwork, etc. They're a good and cheap tool for a complex of buildings/business.

That being said, for 6k there's probably better options, depending on what exactly you need them for.

The better option is to get an ATV with a trailer.

[ - ] PotatoWhisperer2 0 points 1.6 yearsNov 23, 2023 17:26:29 ago (+0/-0)

Could be. Dunno how that would work with traffic laws and whatnot here. The whole complex is a mess of private/public shit. Makes a great place to walk the dog though, as it's also a church complex.

Personally I have a 1,000lb capacity hand-cart for tools and yard-work(also makes a decent on-the-go seat/work bench), and a trailer for dump runs or whatever.

Well, congress took our Ford Ranger/Chevy S-10/Toyota T100s away from us.

Huh? Was that part of the cash 4 judens thing? I'd like more on that if you have a link please.

A buddy of mine has one he imported from South Korea for about $6000 a couple of years before coronavirus. Dualy fire truck with a four-cylinder turbo charged diesel. Fine truck, even at 80 miles an hour on the interstate.

The resemblance of electric cars to Chinese RC toys is noted. I suppose that's not an inherently bad thing in certain places. RC cars are cool, and of course remotely controlled electric vehicles are useful. It don't feel great, though.

People hang gay bicycles out of the backs of all kinds of trucks, usually with those stupid black tailgate covers to avoid scratches. Real trucks have Harleys in the bed.

Nothing says cool like driving your motorcycle around town in the back of your offroading lifted truck.

[ - ] TheOriginal1Icemonkey 1 point 1.6 yearsNov 23, 2023 17:40:35 ago (+1/-0)

The only reason to truck a motorcycle is upon buying it or selling it. But yeah.

[ - ] bonghits4jeebus 1 point 1.6 yearsNov 23, 2023 20:19:21 ago (+1/-0)

People on the road with Harleys in a Harley edition truck aren't buying or selling those. They're fatasses commuting in an SUV, basically, and hauling a motorcycle somewhere pleasant.

[ - ] TheOriginal1Icemonkey 0 points 1.6 yearsNov 23, 2023 23:22:48 ago (+0/-0)

There hasn’t been a Harley edition truck for years. No one has those anymore.
I’ve only ever hauled a bike when buying or selling, as I’ve delivered one once. I’ve hauled dirt bikes to where you can go ride, but now I live where you ride, so I don’t haul anything, it’s right outside my door.
I so.d my last Harley and delivered to the buyer.
Shit, I only drive on four wheels now, on and off road.
