Black Friday = sell stupid US consumers a lower quality shit product at a 'discount'.

Building a new PC. Have been monitoring prices for a few weeks, and this week found a few black Friday deals to allow me a few upgrades to my build with the same budget. My current PC is 14 years old, i think i got my moneys worth and it is time to upgrade.

Going with an AMD build. Ryzen 7600, 32 GB ram, radeon rx 6800 video card. Should be plenty fast for any games including VR, any CAD programs i need to use, and i can still upgrade it down the line. Right now doing some reading to get a more privacy orientated Windows 10 install. Currently reading up on AtlasOs, seems promising.

I did buy the wife an e-reader. She reads a lot of books on her phone and I figured that the e-reader would be easier on her eyes.
