I don’t know much about John Oats, but if you’ve ever watched “Live from Daryl’s house” or whatever it’s name is (which is quite good, mind you- loads of talent and good music)- you can Tell Daryl Hall is an asshole to his band and crew. He rubs me as one of those people on a power trip that no matter what a subordinate does it’s not good enough for Daryl and they need berated. A mixture of narcissism, OCD, and bi-polar disorder- along with an extreme sense of entitlement. My guess is Daryl is trying to take credit for music John wrote or something like that.
Again I know little about John,so I may be way off base.

I agree. Daryl also likes to tell the story that Eddie Van Halen asked him to sing for VH but it was a joke. Ed was drunk and bullshitting around. GE Smith has some stories about Daryl but they will probably never see the light of day.
