LOl, i went to google maps and found exactly where this white car travelled from (best i can make out is on US 101 between east 4th st and 1st st before going over the los Angeles river on the san Bernadino freeway). Massive infrastructure change.

I recognize the areas and where that car is driving. That tunnel is still there today. Yes, that is exactly where it is.

Ikr, a lot of road widening - and a shit ton of buildings on the other side of the river.
side note - during my google maps foray - came across a couple of great picture blogs of early LA (from the 20-30's up to about 70's) of putting in freeways, lowering hills to place roads/ routes etc - was pretty fascinating. All just previously dirt/ single and two lane roads or open land.

I've talked to locals who remember when LA was mostly dirt and back roads.

And it wasn't that long ago. The 90s was a huge population boom in LA.

California looks pretty nice without all of the niggers and excrement everywhere.

Didn't watch.
I'm trying to look forward while accepting that we have lost the past.
Witnessing what was taken from us just breaks my heart and I have to be strong.

I did watch. I like to know when times were better and what it looked like.

Someone posted a video like this on twitter before but from the 70s and all the leftoids were hating on it because "muh racism and air pollution".

This is good but a lot of the colors are wrong, the cars seem to change color as they move. I want to watch this again when the colorizing tech finally takes advantage of AI and the colors used are historically accurate and the grainy film can be enhanced with accurately added texture detail. By analyzing multiple frames of the same object, then using historical data about those and similar objects the details you can accurately bring out would likely be shocking.

I can't even watch these, I lived in LA for a long time and seeing what it was and what it could have been makes me so fucking mad.

Video at 30 seconds was filmed from present day location here, alley with "all day parking $30" sign. Spent many hours in that exact location while a teenager through the 80's. Very interesting to compare buildings now and then. Thanks.
