Real scenario: are hero is out hanging his laundry on the mountain top when a drone explodes his ass.

[ - ] oyveyo 1 point 1.5 yearsNov 21, 2023 09:52:11 ago (+3/-2)*

The safest place on Earth is now deep underground.

They can see you from space. They have energy weapons that can zap you from space. If you're unzappable, they'll send drones. If the drones don't work they have missiles, and tanks, and guns, and bombers, and nukes. If they really want you, only place to go is down.

[ - ] LintLicker 4 points 1.5 yearsNov 21, 2023 10:21:19 ago (+4/-0)

They also have mostly fags and retards operating the weaponry. I wouldn't be too worried.

Skynet AI is already online.

Also under water. Most of their shit doesn't work under water because water blocks most EM. If they tried to find you with sonar, well that would rupture your ear drums before th, so hmmm.

But they would probably have no clue you were down there.

If they actually start doing that there's gonna be a lot of emp fields in certain areas.

[ - ] HonkyMcNiggerSpic 8 points 1.5 yearsNov 21, 2023 10:17:20 ago (+8/-0)*

kek a nigger-rigged PA system. This guy knows.

Most people in Appalachia are snipers and shoot regularly and are pretty fucking crafty. a lot of German blood in Appalachia. What it boils down to is how do you fight off drones? well if anybody cracks that code it will be Hillbillys.

[ - ] Allienonymus 1 point 1.4 yearsNov 21, 2023 14:18:02 ago (+1/-0)

A lot of netting

[ - ] JudyStroyer 1 point 1.4 yearsNov 21, 2023 14:58:07 ago (+1/-0)

Night vision and thermal need to actually have a direct line of sight to detect you. Trees, brush, etc will hide you. There are also clothes that are made to hide your heat signature.

[ - ] PotatoWhisperer2 1 point 1.4 yearsNov 21, 2023 17:32:29 ago (+1/-0)

EMP fields, netting, cammo netting covering shit, mobility, counter-drone drones, hacking.

[ - ] BulletStopper 0 points 1.4 yearsNov 22, 2023 09:06:24 ago (+0/-0)

Shooting the pilots in the head while they're sleeping.

Most people in Appalachia are snipers

Dad worked as mechanic down at the garage in town, so, when you're poor, nine years old, .22LR ammo is a penny apiece, and if you don't shoot it and bring it home, there isn't going to be any meat on the table for supper that evening, yeah, you get to be a pretty fair hand with a rifle pretty early on to help the family get by.

And historically, mountain folk have always made the best light infantry in the world.

Yep. 'Ems my people.

...how do you fight off drones?

You don't. Not directly anyway. But there are TTP's around that we won't get into here.

It's a fun thought, but considering what they did to the Weaver family on Ruby ridge, and what they did to the people at Waco, and remembering that the (((Government))) not only got away with it but gloated afterwards, I very much doubt OP's scenario is all that realistic.

Those poor fellers didn't have support. In civil war 2, the zogs will have to watch their backs when they seige a farmhouse.

[ - ] Inward 1 point 1.5 yearsNov 21, 2023 10:41:30 ago (+2/-1)

OP scenario is a good last stand. If people come to the conclusion that it is the inevitable way out, they may take the fight to the actual enemy at the top of the pyramid. If that happens enough times, the war can be won.

They have drones that can navigate forests. Better be able to hide your thermals.

more likely scenario:
[Appalachia]
- they agent orange the entire flank of a mountain known to be the hide out of a local resistance

- the other side of the mountain meanwhile, they drop napalm on

- combat controllers coordinate it all, because absorbing horrifying shit is their entire job, and its easier to do when the people you are chemically destroying or burning alive and bombing are all dots in your binoculars

- everyone involved is brainwashed by 24/7 media, commanding officers, and mass psychology programs written by social engineer, all to hate you and feel disgust for bullshit reasons at anyone they're ordered to kill

- before all this goes down they hunt down would-be leaders using dogs, rewards for snitches, and flooding the zone with informants and regime stasi political police (fbi) for a few years

- before that even, they destroy the economy of your region to make people poor, and desperate, then flood the area with fent and meth

- before that, they flood the area with cartels, crime, and foreigners to suppress your wages, and push the natives out.

- before that, they make lists of what citizens are loyal and disloyal, and collate them to determine the regions to be targeted, based on vaccine refusal, gun ownership, political ideology, the number of people who go to church, the number of intact families (because "conservative values" is now an indicator for 'extremism' - a synonym now 'terrorist')

Those last five lines items are what is already being done everywhere across america, with varying success.

All the while they keep everyone pacified with scripted political 'candidates', whose role is to be pressure release, while accomplishing nothing of significance to stem the tide or turn the entire program of alienation and community annihilation around.

It's a program of explicit replacement and genocide.

Closer than you know. It was tried once already, but it was a while back. Didn't go so well.

The last loyal Governor of Virginia, John Murray, 4th Earl of Dunmore ( https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/John_Murray,_4th_Earl_of_Dunmore ) requested that General Thomas Gage, commander-in-chief of British forces in the colonies, send a force into the mountains West of where the Potomac River meets the Shenandoah River (Harpers Ferry), as both a show-of-force and to chastise any of these rapscallion upstarts who were rumored to be impugning his honor, making rude noises about independence, and denigrating his royal majesty, the king.

Why the very thought!

So one fine day, an entire, full-strength, marching regiment of redcoats, consisting at that time of a total of some 480 Officers, NCOs and Private Soldiers (plus sufficiently appropriate supporting attachments for same), dutifully crossed the river at Harpers Ferry and marched up the deer paths into the laurel thickets of the Appalachian Mountains in the area that would later come to be known as, "West (By God) Virginia".

Well, you can just about guess how that went, and what happened next.

And you'd have to. Because nobody knows what happened. They marched up into those mountains and disappeared. Vanished.
And not one man ever returned to tell the tale of what happened to them all.

Not. One. Ever.

Good story. Your link doesn't say anything of the sort. Neither does wikipedia regarding Gen. Thomas Gage. Where did you get your story from?

[ - ] BulletStopper 1 point 1.4 yearsNov 22, 2023 08:47:31 ago (+1/-0)*

I grew up in that area (the ferry at "Harper's Ferry" was actually started by a squatter named Peter Stephens).

Harper didn't come along until about 1751, bought the land from Lord Fairfax, and got the "legal" right to build a ferry there about ten years later (even though there was one already) which is why it's called "Harper's Ferry", instead of "Stephen's Ferry".

The progenitor of my family came over to the colonies from Germany in 1750, originally apprenticed as a blacksmith in Philadelphia, later acquired land in the hills overlooking Harpers Ferry. The story has been passed down by word of mouth through my family from generation to generation because we had kin that were there, and our roots there go deep.

(This is the point at which a certain variety of rude, impolitic, and uninformed persons (they know who they are) might choose to repeat wholly unsubstantiated rumors of certain less-than-entirely-legal business enterprises involving the movement of certain goods, that may or may not have been engaged in by the family, in that area, during that period. Pay them no mind whatsoever. Perhaps not all of the paperwork may have been completed, or the strictly legal niceties observed, fees, or tax stamps etc. But envy can be such an ugly thing, and a sin. Suffice to say that certain things should not be discussd in polite company, nor in the presence of the womenfolk, or other persons possessed of a sensitive disposition.
For what it's worth, I do at least come by my sometimes more villianous proclivities honestly.)

Following the unpleasantness with Mr. Frederick (he being of the royal variety), it was decided that certain members of the family should probably move further West, down through West Virginia, along the Kanawha, and Tug Fork, Coal Rivers, to (among other places) Point Pleasant, Beckley, and on into Ohio.

(Which is also how we eventually ended up being kin to the Hatfield clan, by way of the Vance family (but only by marriage, thank God). But that is another story, for another day.)

Scene 2: Suburban dad hears of fighting in the woods and notices a staging area for troops in his neighborhood. Takes notes on troop count, arms and vehicle types, support items (drones, etc.), coms methods, routes of supply, etc. and distributes widely on internet. He loads his rifles and sends his family to spend the week with the grandparents.
