"Spending over the last 12 months is in fact up more than 30%, not 2%."

People really are just pretending this crises isn't happening, and think that, in fact, means it isn't happening. It's because they don't want to suffer...at all...ever. Which is an impossible goal to ever achieve. The truly intelligent way to deal with suffering is to embrace it. Early and often. The earlier the better.

When you take your suffering earlier, and that causes you to actually fix whatever is causing your suffering, you suffer less in the long run. In fact, if you, like so many people have done for 5-7 decades now, ignore your suffering because you perceive that prevents you from suffering, then, when you inevitably suffer eventually anyways, it will be orders of magnitude worse for you.

And you'll entirely fucking deserve it.
