Make the private key a series of words, put it on a lamented slip of paper.

Put it in your wallet like anything else.

Leave one or two words off the slip, and simply memorize them.

Pretty good security right there, key-wise.

Identity should be a private key or something derived from a private key. If you lose it, you can get a new anon account. Most people don't want that, though.

Fuck private keys. I had them stored on my computer and lost them.

I was just going to say most people would want the ability to get that private key back using a phone number or some other form of ID, and I'm not against that. I just think that the only thing that should be required is a private key. For an encrypted messenger app. Because people with hardware wallets and physical backups, the most security-minded people will use it that way.
