It would sort of be like if Facebook suddenly shut down. Sure there are 2 dozen sites that do what it does but everyone was using that one thing. So the user base is splintered.

I can't believe it's very hard in fact it's probably already been done to do an open source version of Omegle that will keep a list of people trying to get online and automatically connect you to a video chat with them and cycle you through whoever is online. This is not a difficult problem. People seem to need to have to go to a URL though. It's like Odyssey Odyssey is not actually Odyssey Odyssey is a URL front end for a program you download called library which does it all automatically for you without a url. But for some reason people seem to need to go to a URL instead of downloading the program. You end up downloading most of the program anyway when you're doing using it through the URL she might as well just download the program and do it directly through your computer without going through a URL
