I worked with satellites in the military. My old job is currently absorbed by SF. The Earth is not flat.
Maybe it was just an elaborate hoax played on me by the military and the physics department when I was in school. But I doubt it. I'm not in a position to prove anything. But they sure spent a ridiculous amount of money training me for something that "isn't real".
Also flat Earthers are retarded cult followers. It's like listening to a mormon or jehovah witness.
You think your job in the military was genuine just because if it wasn't, the government/military wasted money on you? So you're reasoning is that the military wouldn't waste money, therefore your job was legitimate? I hope you have a better reason for believing you were actually working on putting things in orbit, because otherwise I have a bridge to sell you. Also, I don't doubt there are true believers in flat earth, but I think the theory is put out there to muddy the waters and make people doubt actual conspiracies, much like 'all birds are government spy drones'.
The "steel is heavier than feathers" failure is the same as not understanding that there's a difference between believing the Earth is flat and not believing that the Earth is a glob just because NASA, which constantly gets caught lying, faking and hoaxing, says it's a glob. Scepticism is the opposite of belief, not the belief in the opposite.
The parallel I'm drawing is- just as the earth seems flat intuitively, but actually isn't, the intuitive answer that a kg of steel is heavier than a kg of feathers is also incorrect.
Btw there are many ways to prove the shape of the earth that don't involve nasa material. Every other space agency and private corp that has gone to orbit, for example. You can use something as simple as the differences between climates depending on the latitude. Far northern and southern climates are cold because the sunlight is spread out over a greater area due to the curvature of the earth. Proving, both that it isn't flat and that it is round.
Length of days or daylight is better than climates, which can be affected by other factors other than just latitude. So in Ireland (quite north) we lose about 10 hours of daylight from the longest to the shortest day of the year, while the Canaries (almost tropical) only loses about 3.5 hours of daylight in the same period.
But it doesn't. We can see horizons, and ships disappearing past it. The sun and moon are both spheroids to the naked eye. Then if you think about it a bit, nothing about flat earth makes any sense with what we see and experience.
I'm aware of all that. I was speaking to the flat tard perception- they have a learning disability which prevents them from being able to think in three dimensions. Obvious things that you mentioned are shrugged away by flat tards because they quite literally cannot imagine the earth, or anything else, as a 3D object.
That's called vanishing point. Brains (or rather Minds) do more than you think. (Holy shit that's deep.) If you're a booking learning type of smrt, you should read Fichte's Wissenschaftslehre. Just the first few pages is convincing enough. And further down the line is Ernst Mach (as in the speed) who was interested in what he termed 'Psychophysics'.
I get what you're saying and I don't disagree, but you're begging the question. The fact doesn't explain the theory: the theory attempts to explain the fact. It's not a fact that the Earth is round, and that high latitudes are colder etc. It is a fact that high latitudes are colder etc., and the accepted explanation of that fact is the theory that the Earth is round. It's recursive in that other facts tend to fortify the theory, but the point at which a theory becomes strong enough to be considered fact is the point at which the threshold of belief is crossed; because, strictly speaking, a theory, regardless of it's power of explanation, ought not to be confused with fact.
You aren't using reason, you are appealing to authority and wanting me to take your faith based opinion to reinforce the government programming and make the cognitive dissonance stop hurting your brain.
You fail to reconcile holding two contradictory ideas at the same time. The very attempt to do so and you are forced to pivot the discussion because of pain.
"Cognitive dissonance is a mental conflict that occurs when your beliefs don't line up with your actions. It's an uncomfortable state of mind when someone has contradictory values, attitudes, or perspectives about the same thing."
The Googled definition matches my usage to perfection.
Translation: âI find it inconvenient that you patrolled my ass after I termed any casual demonstration of physics concepts âpseudointellectualismâ â
Translation: the person who actually passed 2 semesters of astrophysics doesnt have a good level of understanding of planetary motion but the bio slut with 2 semesters of calculus does.

If she was smart then why did this cunt mask and vax during the covid hoax? A few affirmative action pieces of paper does not quantity intelligence in todays world.
No, Im a person who took alot of college level physics, including 2 semesters of astrophysics. I also took alot of math but never claimed to be a mathematician either. The fact that you dont understand why a student would be taking both a physics and math heavy course load reveals volumes about YOU. Biotechs are the basic bitches of the science world. Haha.
The insecurity is strictly on your part. You are the one that was thirsty enough to pick at my vaguely sciencey comment to nukeamerica and claim it was pseudointellectualism. Youâre salty because I have a stronger background than you in math and physics. Maybe theres dudes here that can bury me in those subjects, but it ainât you. Of that I am highly confident.
But go on about how Iâm âchanging my storyâ or that Im insecure. I know youâll never challenge me on math or physics cuz you dont know any.
Remember when you tried to argue that I couldnt have studied advanced math because I had too many typos in my responses and mathematicians are too careful to make spelling and grammar mistakes? Haha that was a good one. Canât wait for the next NPD nugget!
