I have a fuckin sinus infection. How do I get rid of it without going to a Dr for antibiotics?

Antibiotics do not work on viruses

This is not true. Several categories of antibiotics do have antiviral actions. Tetracyclines, macrolides, fluoroquinilones, maybe some others. Thanks to covid I researched the shit out of this. But I doubt his sinusitis is due to a virus.

Bacteria and viruses usually have the same objective: infiltrate the cell and exploit its protein manufacturing facility to make new baby microbes. Some antibiotics which block cell entry or impair certain cell functions like copying DNA/RNA into proteins can inhibit the reproduction of both viruses and bacteria. That is my high level understanding of why some of these drugs have such a wide spectrum of targets.

Good for you. Alot of people who were willing to listen benefitted from the grass roots spread of treatment strategies for covid in the face of the information embargo. Covid was a bad bug, especially for old folks, despite was the flu-tards say.

If your sinuses are raw at all its going to burn like hell. My experience lasted for about 2 hours, maybe less.

No idea what type of infection it was, I didn't go to the doctor.

Using a straw of nasal spray bottle you can snort a 1% iodine solution which you can make with 1 part 10% povidone iodine from the drug store to 9 parts boiled or distilled water. Hang you head upside down to keep the stuff in your nasal passages for 30 seconds or so and repeat a few times a day.

Alternatively you can snort a hypertonic salt water solution ( about 1 teasp. Salt to 1 cup boiled or distilled water) The salt will kill the bacteria but it can be a bit drying. You can also just buy hypertonic saline nose spray.

Another option I have tried is snorting a little bit of listerine diluted with 50% water (ideally boiled or distilled). Just a little. Again, hold your head upside down to let it get into the sinuses. Very invigorating lol.

All these will kill off the bacteria. Take a lot of hot showers and boil a pot of water on the stove for a few hours a day to improve the humidity. Drink extra fluids. No booze. Spicy foods might help. Taking some extra vitamins like C,D3, and zinc will probably also help. I might take 1000 mg C 3x a day plus 5000 iu D3 and 50mg of zinc once a day.

You can stock up on antibiotics from mexican pharmacies like doxycycline, amoxicillin, or azithromycin without a script, or you can by these for fish and birds from pet pharmacies also without a script.

Late to the party but everyone with hayfever should know echinacea allergies are common and correlate to ragweed allergy. Many food allergies are caused by pollen allergies from related plants.

Yeah. Its my understanding that related plants like ragweed and echinacea have the same compounds which people develop sensitivities to through pollen but can carry over into a food (ingestion) reaction. I think latex sensitivity works the same way. Explore “food pollen cross reactivity allergies” if youre interested.

If your blown green or yellow shit out your nose and it's painful to press underneath your eyes and alongside your nose where your sinuses are, then you've got an infection that won't clear up without antibiotics.

You can try just waiting for it to go away or the neti post thing-just be sure to use sterile water (boiled then cooled).
