If I was in their shoes I would not consider men earning below 100k to be long term relationship material. 100k is nothing these days. I hire college grads with a CS degree and a good GPA but zero experience for 85k. 100k is what I pay a talented developer with 3+ years experience.

You don't need 100k to live a good life though. I've never made nearly that much my entire life, yet I still managed to get a nice home in a 94% White area, got my CS/maths degree, and retired in my 30's.

Was that many decades ago? 30 years ago I was able to buy a house in a decent neighborhood on a 60k salary. And guess what? 60k in 1993 dollars is 127k in 2023 dollars. 100k is not shit anymore
