My thoughts on Halloween

submitted by WNwoman to whatever 6 monthsNov 1, 2023 16:25:30 ago (+46/-1)     (whatever)

I posted here a few years ago about how depressing Halloween was in my neighborhood with non white kids driving up in droves to get the good candy dressed in either no costume or something pathetic and low effort. They’d snatch, steal, and not even say thank you. One year they stole my whole bowl.

Well my family has since moved to an all White area and it has been glorious. None of those issues at all here. Families got together for a block party, kids all went trick or treating together, everyone was polite and only kids that actually lived in our neighborhood showed up. It was such a great feeling and this is how it should be. Regardless of what you think about the holiday it is refreshing to see White people doing a community activity together. It’s good for the soul.

I agree, we live in a mostly white area but still have niglets dropped off in the neighborhood. Thats why I have two kinds of candy, good chocolate and cheap hard candy. You know who is getting what, and only one piece vs a few.
This year didn't have any though for some reason.

Love that. I used to do that in my old neighborhood too. The undeserving got the old Easter candy.

I hate Halloween because my birthday is the same day. Halloween has been stealing my thunder my entire life. All of my birthday parties when I was a kid, everyone came in costume and they were just waiting for it to get dark. My birthday was like a pregame event. The sight of a chocolate cake with orange icing that looks like a pumpkin, makes me sick to this day. My mom would confiscate my candy haul, because I had already had a bunch of birthday cake. Then she would ration my candy back to me. The main selling point for my current home is that no one can get to my house on Halloween. I chain the gate and release my dogs. Haven’t had a trick or treater brave enough to breach my perimeter in 16 years.

Happy belated birthday, Pear of Anguish!

Happy Belated Birthday. I feel for you, my cousin also shares that birthday. Feel for you and those with Christmas birthdays.

Your birthday is not an afterthought to another holiday. Shitty people treat it otherwise.

Happy birthday!!

Your mom should have lied and said you were born earlier.

Pls let us know if and when any houses come up for sale in that neighborhood, kthx.

There are but we pay dearly for the privilege of living here. It’s expensive to live in majority White areas. Worth it though.

[ - ] Clubberlang 1 point 6 monthsNov 1, 2023 21:53:45 ago (+1/-0)

HOA or gated community?

[ - ] WNwoman [op] 3 points 6 monthsNov 1, 2023 22:07:10 ago (+3/-0)

Both haha. My dream is to live on 20 acres away from everyone but at this stage in life and my husband’s career we are in the burbs.

[ - ] Clubberlang 0 points 6 monthsNov 3, 2023 22:42:32 ago (+0/-0)

The worst of both worlds.

[ - ] bobdole9 3 points 6 monthsNov 1, 2023 16:57:33 ago (+3/-0)

We have a few available in the neighborhood in Northern Georgia.

Nowhere for your boat, though.

[ - ] lord_nougat 5 points 6 monthsNov 1, 2023 17:29:09 ago (+5/-0)

Drat.

It seems like vile communists have ruined every place with adequate marinas, except for where hurricanes destroy said marinas on a regular basis.

[ - ] JudyStroyer 7 points 6 monthsNov 1, 2023 17:45:44 ago (+7/-0)

Hey bro. Lake Champlain. White as can be.

[ - ] bobdole9 2 points 6 monthsNov 1, 2023 19:13:02 ago (+2/-0)

Seriously though, how long before you can afford sailing during hurricane season? Can't imagine Savannah is too risky. Yes, hurricanes are possible but nothing extreme too frequently.

[ - ] lord_nougat 3 points 6 monthsNov 1, 2023 19:40:32 ago (+3/-0)

My mainsail is stout enough to probably survive heaving-to at sea in a full gale, fully reefed, but I wouldn't trust my much lighter jib in those conditions. I'd need a proper storm jib for that purpose. Also probably a drogue. Once I have those things on hand and set up, it would surely be safer to ride it out at sea if need be... but not comfortable.

[ - ] bobdole9 2 points 6 monthsNov 1, 2023 20:02:36 ago (+2/-0)

Would you accept a summer marina somewhere away from your home if it means your boat would avoid bullshit weather?

[ - ] lord_nougat 3 points 6 monthsNov 1, 2023 21:07:13 ago (+3/-0)

Probably, yes.

Beggars can't be choosers! I don't want to have to sell her, she's part of the family now. But of course, life adjusts.

[ - ] Panic 2 points 6 monthsNov 2, 2023 10:03:10 ago (+2/-0)

Describe your boat for us. I once bought a sailboat in San Diego. Big oceans and small sailboats don't mix during the hurricane season. I hope the boat's finders where I ditched mine on a beach in Mexico are still enjoying it. Hope your boat is bigger and well built and rigged.

[ - ] lord_nougat 0 points 6 monthsNov 3, 2023 16:42:09 ago (+0/-0)

She's a 1965 Robb 35 built by Cheoy Lee in Hong Kong, which was still British at the time. The original owner had her rigged as a yawl, which I rather liked. Still had the mizzen when I got her, too - I just took too long claiming it and it has vanished, alas. So now she's a sloop. Sails splendidly as a sloop, too; The mizzen was just for a steadying sail, really. And for looking cool.

I think she looks just fine as a sloop, though.

Please god where? I'm in between Atlanta and Columbus and I'm starting to hate it, even if it is one of the more affluent counties in the area.

[ - ] bobdole9 2 points 6 monthsNov 1, 2023 18:43:59 ago (+2/-0)

Cherokee County is not too bad. We're on the outskirts of Canton towards Waleska. Mountains and lack of stores seem to deter morons from moving out "in the country".

[ - ] RabbiKinderschtupper 2 points 6 monthsNov 1, 2023 22:27:50 ago (+2/-0)

The wife and I have been talking about it for a while. We've made a few trips up to Dahlonega, Blairsville, Suches, and other spots around there several times over the past couple of years. Blairsville in particular is lovely. We spent a weekend up there a few months ago, and hitting our exit and all the traffic on the way home was a giant wake up call.

[ - ] bobdole9 1 point 6 monthsNov 1, 2023 22:48:50 ago (+1/-0)

I am grateful that my family lives in the north. Never needing to go towards Atlanta and access to escaping by backroads is so damn nice.

I'm hoping to explore a lot more around here...society acts like my home used to back in the 90s.

[ - ] WNwoman [op] 1 point 6 monthsNov 1, 2023 21:41:12 ago (+1/-0)

It’s an extremely red area in a purple state. That’s as specific as I feel comfortable revealing.

[ - ] Peleg 3 points 6 monthsNov 1, 2023 18:09:17 ago (+3/-0)

Holeup there. Not so fast. Maybe she had better message you. If she told it out in the open here the filthy, degenerate, disgusting, jidf employees that stink this place up all the time will flood her area with niggers!

[ - ] Clubberlang 2 points 6 monthsNov 1, 2023 21:57:34 ago (+2/-0)

Yoo ain uh lie!

[ - ] Anus_Expander 3 points 6 monthsNov 1, 2023 16:30:01 ago (+6/-3)

I live in a lily-White hood, and it was the same. I don't participate, but the hood FB page was full of wholesome shit. Several ppl remarked how polite the kids were.

DOWNER: I think Halloween is Satanic imagery, and teaching kids to take candy from strangers is simply insane. Adults in costume is extreme cringe.

[ - ] Irelandlost 6 points 6 monthsNov 1, 2023 18:07:01 ago (+6/-0)

It’s pagan, not satanic. It’s a pre-Christian Irish festival - we have one for each quarter (Imbolg at start of February as a spring festival, Bealtane at the start of May for a summer festival, Lughnasadh is the harvest festival and Samhain is Halloween as a day of dead to start winter.)

[ - ] Peleg 1 point 6 monthsNov 1, 2023 18:15:54 ago (+2/-1)

It may have started out being a pagan holiday but the satanic retards have taken it over now.

[ - ] Leveraction 2 points 6 monthsNov 1, 2023 21:56:21 ago (+2/-0)

You are correct Peleg

[ - ] Anus_Expander 1 point 6 monthsNov 1, 2023 19:20:33 ago (+1/-0)

In my upper-class White hood: a 20 foot skeleton with glowing red eyes...a lawn littered with dismembered babies, covered in blood...a giant purple brain splattered with blood...WTF is this shit supposed to be?? Spiders, devils, decaying zombies...if that shit is not Satanic imagery then what is??

[ - ] bobdole9 4 points 6 monthsNov 1, 2023 19:27:52 ago (+4/-0)

You have some fucked neighbors.

I prefer the pirate dinosaur blowup lawn ornament myself.

[ - ] Gowithit 3 points 6 monthsNov 1, 2023 19:45:54 ago (+3/-0)

Your neighborhood sounds cool.

Evil spirits already hit this house move along... did you not ward them off at yours?

[ - ] Anus_Expander 1 point 6 monthsNov 1, 2023 19:51:39 ago (+1/-0)

I have a pic of a machine gun over my front door, nobody ever knocks

[ - ] VitaminSieg 2 points 6 monthsNov 1, 2023 20:25:56 ago (+2/-0)

[ - ] bobdole9 1 point 6 monthsNov 1, 2023 22:50:14 ago (+1/-0)

police knock

SIR, YOU CANNOT SHOW A PICTURE OF THAT TO CHILDREN!

[ - ] Irelandlost 1 point 6 monthsNov 2, 2023 09:47:21 ago (+1/-0)

It’s to scare the evil spirits away. It’s the day on which the boundary between this world and the otherworld is most passable, but we didn’t really have heaven and hell so good and bad could come from the otherworld. That’s where the dressing up comes from too, it’s all about scaring away the evil spirits.

[ - ] Anus_Expander 1 point 6 monthsNov 2, 2023 14:21:33 ago (+1/-0)

Why would evil spirits be scared of tubby moms dressed like slutty nurses?

I have heard it said that beef contains all of the nutrients so I'm unsure why you would supplement a carnivore diet with vitamins.

Families got together for a block party

Our street used to do this every year right before Christmas. We'd block off the entrance to the cul de sac set up tables bring out food and play music til early morning. This was the early 90s

[ - ] Metanoid 2 points 6 monthsNov 1, 2023 21:31:46 ago (+2/-0)

I took my son to visit with family in the US so he could experience Halloween the way it was meant to be done. My cousin lives in a white middle class neighborhood. The whole neighborhood gets really into it. Great ambiance very friendly etc.
When we went to trick or treat the first thing I noticed were the throngs of black kids far outnumbering the local kids, no costumes, sometimes makeup, all over the place.
When we got back from trick or treating, my cousin tells me she got robbed by "a group of teenagers" who took all the candy she was distibuting. This was a large amount, probably 6 or 7 pounds. She tried to fend them off but with superior numbers they made off with the loot. Luckily she had more inside and refilled. There was a second attempt to rob her by the same group that she managed to thwart.
My cousin is a hard leftist and will at no point admit the reason for what happened.
Its worse than I remembered. Country's fuckef.

[ - ] WNwoman [op] 5 points 6 monthsNov 1, 2023 21:42:23 ago (+5/-0)

Good grief. Guess you need to pack heat to deal with it these days.

[ - ] Metanoid 3 points 6 monthsNov 1, 2023 22:00:20 ago (+3/-0)

That would be racist...

[ - ] bobdole9 2 points 6 monthsNov 1, 2023 19:21:38 ago (+2/-0)

Our neighborhood skews towards the retired age...so far, of the 60ish houses, there's a total of 10 kids including my three.

As far as I could tell those 10 kids were the sole trick-or-treaters. Depending if I go with kiddos or not, next year I may pass out king size bars to the neighborhood kids.

Walking around yesterday, most of the older White neighbors were happy to actually see kids. Neighbors who have a kid were dressed as Harry Potter characters cooking hot dogs over a fire pit.

So much better than Michigan.

[ - ] HonkyMcNiggerSpic 2 points 6 monthsNov 1, 2023 18:11:08 ago (+2/-0)

Yep. I live in a rural place and our Halloween parties are awesome. We had one or two fat skank filth trash with niggers but people here do not put up with nigger bullshit. There was, however, many fat fuck teens(16 and older) in gay ass furry costumes with giant bags getting candy. There were also a few fat fuck adults trick or treating. They have no shame. Other than that it was a good time for the kids. My granddaughter, without even trying hard, got probably a $30 bag of candy and we only went to two gatherings. There was a lot of boothes at the first place, though. The second place was our fire dept and they had about 7 boothes and state police had a couple boothes.

A lot of places have passed ordinances that kids over 13 can't trick or treat. Looks like we may need to look into that. If they are retards then fine but all I seen were just fatties trying to get all the free candy they could

[ - ] Laputois 1 point 6 monthsNov 2, 2023 08:49:02 ago (+1/-0)

We have not answered the door in at least 10 years. I speak to whomever comes to the door through the camera and tell them to fuck off. Unless they are specifically invited here I have zero use for them.

[ - ] NoRefunds 1 point 6 monthsNov 1, 2023 20:57:23 ago (+1/-0)

Harrison street?

[ - ] RobertJHarsh 1 point 6 monthsNov 1, 2023 20:35:49 ago (+1/-0)

Don't relax yet. We lived in a white area where the niggers got driven in and did the shit you described. It wasn't no upper middle class area but descent enough to let kids play in the yards.

[ - ] WNwoman [op] 4 points 6 monthsNov 1, 2023 21:43:17 ago (+4/-0)

I grew up in the south so trust me, I can never fully relax.

[ - ] Endo_Aryan 1 point 6 monthsNov 1, 2023 17:18:50 ago (+1/-0)

Where I live the houses are so far apart you can't go trick or treating. So they do trunk or treats or similar where local businesses set up booths. It's nowhere near as fun.
