That's pretty slick.

I used to do this when I was 14 on a popular online PC game. I would write in the chat room that I was giving my account away and just message me what you wanted me to change my password to. About 30% would send my the password they were using for their account, and I'd steal their account.

I'd also like to mention that I believe karma is real. And I payed for these misdeeds in one form or another.

Three weeks a store forget to scan a PS4 headset/ mic set up i got for my son but bagged it in with my other products - NZD $80. I knew straight away, and just let it happen, lol.

She has his name, email, and login info now. Presumably she can log in and find some statements that will have phone numbers and addresses, maybe account numbers or at least info on what accounts he has and with whom. Using all this info she may be able to call the banks and authenticate far enough to get a credit card app or order a book of checks.

If your bank gives you access just because you have a phone number you probably shouldn’t be banking with them.
Addresses can be stale, for example my phone bill thinks I’m still residing in the home I was living in 2001. This also isn’t including the two factor authentication that’s required to do anything on your account. I can’t even add unlimited data on my phone without the pajeet customer service asking me a million security questions. Its all pearl clutching.
