Halloween and Christians

submitted by VitaminSieg to TellUpgoat 7 monthsOct 30, 2023 22:54:27 ago (+3/-1)     (TellUpgoat)

I have a couple frens who claim to be Christians (one is Pentacostal, and the other is still shopping around), who hate Halloween and won't let their kids take part in it, because it's 'satan worship and unchristian'. But I think they've got it wrong: All Hallows Eve might actually be an important day for satanists, I don't know, but it is a very important event for Christians, not just because it is the eve of All Saints' Day, but because it is a mocking of satan, satanists, and evil. Dressing up as the thing you hate is mockery. It's a flex. It's taking the piss out of the real satanists. Happy Halloween.

For the most part I do see it as un-Christian. The 'Saints' are not something to be worshiped, only God is.

It most certainly is a celebration of the occult for many, as Cantaloupe says.

Sending your children out to collect candy from strangers is antithetical to proper behavior.

As a last aside, it is participating in an aspect of consumerism that has people buying disgusting goyslop high-fructose corn syrup candy and useless chinese trinkets to use once and then store all year or throw away.

It's not a flex, it's a 'trick' to get you doing stuff that's bad for you.

Funny you bring up worshipping saints over worshipping God. First of all, I think there is a difference between veneration and worship. B) God acted through the saints. And 3) the most holy figure in the Catholic church is not Jesus (He's like #5 even St. Francis of Assisi ranks higher), it's Mary, despite Jesus being considered God in carnate.

What I'm suggesting is that Halloween isn't a celebration of the occult, but of Christianity, in the form of a mockery of the occult. Next level, I know. Take your time. You'll get there. I'll wait.

Sending your children out into the neighbourhood is not antithetical to proper behaviour. It's neighbourly and communal. If you think it's just about begging for candy, I don't know what to tell you. You're a good consoomer.

My kids, and most of their friends, get a visit from the Switch Witch, who exchanges their candy for a good toy. They hardly eat anything.

Yes Satanist as well
There are only two teams as Gen 3:15 clearly describes.
You serve the God you see.
They murder just as many on hallows eve as they do on the solstice

Christ-Cucks hate halloween because it's a vestigial remnant from our Pagan history.
Anything that is "White Culture" needs to be eliminated because it doesn't serve the Jews.
Whenever "Satan" is invoked by Christians, it always just means "We need a boogie man to trick Whites into hating themselves".

It is absolutely Satanic. And teaching kids to take candy from strangers is just insane.

Blasphemers and heretics. Just burn them at the cross.

Are some denominations heretical? Are all but one heretical? If you're not doing christianity hard enough, are you not heretical?
