The few famous examples of successful "peaceful protest" movements are psychological operations built on lies, lies of omission, and a failure to understand the context of why their causes had succeeded. Also note how few those examples of political change by peaceful means are compared to the long list of times when political change was accomplished with the use of violence and intimidation.

Democracy is another pacifying agent for the masses, it tells people that they have an influence over their government, but anyone whose tried to enter into politics as a common citizen will find themselves unable to do so because of all the gatekeeping policies that had been erected to keep troublemakers out of the place where they could shake up the institutions.

It's why only someone like trump could be a populist candidate, he's already an insider within the system.

Don't forget the third most infamous opiate, religion, so many right wingers are refusing to seriously take up arms against the system solely because of how they believe it would affect the opinion of heaven towards them, It's so easy to put off fighting for the here and now when those who speak for the hereafter are telling you not to.

Religion is also offering a comfort in transcendent solutions that prevents you from seeking solutions on earth, ultimate justice, a never ending life that is either infinitely better than it is on earth or infinitely worse than it, with the murder necessary to revolution blackening your soul with a great mark of sin that can damn you to the latter fate after death.

Morality is another thing which has weakened us, whether it is the greater good or some set of rules that should be abided by, the very idea of a universally applicable morality, and a unified idea of what constitutes a good act in any situation regardless of the perspective.

These hold people back from pursuing their own interest by asking them to place the interests of others on an equal level of consideration to their own, and they hold back the actions of people by demonizing actions themselves rather than how they affect people, or how they affect people in general instead of just those whom the people care about.

Morality should be as simple as personal preferences, not those of anyone else, but only your own, good acts are good because you expect to like the results, evil things are evil because you expect to dislike the results.

How others feel about actions should not matter to you. Before you criticize this selfish outlook, take some time to better understand how it would affect your behavior by reflecting upon what you imagine would make you most happy or most miserable, then try to extend that to how you think most others would answer that question.

So many things hold white people back from doing anything, and a few of the most significant are these ideological barriers.
