Company I work for has been “x Global” since 2008, and has bought bought 8 major companies across the world in the 7 years I’ve been workin there. So yea I guess we’re full fuckin corporate now. “Company culture” was great before that was a term- was a very cool business to be in.

In my time, used to have provided lunch by vendors we purchase from or just ‘cause, or hotdog day where ‘dogs would be cooked and served from 10AM til gone. Lots of folks would pitch in with toppings and whatnot. Chicago-style ingredients from the one guy, I’d always make “pepper slaw,” which is just painstakingly thin-cut peppers. Good fun. Go grab a hotdog whenever and load it up.



Now the new mandatory: Trick or Treat on Tues. We’re all fuckin adults first off. “Supervisors will man stations handing out treats” while “team members gather from each department.” Lil line on the bottom of the email/ graphic “departments are responsible for their treats.” Well I’m a supervisor, and I’m sure not shaking down my guys for money for fuckin candy. So that’s on me to buy. Word is we can expense; prob could buy $100 worth and it wouldn’t raise a red flag.

Oh and it’s 12-1 PM. So I’m expected to spend my lunch break handing out candy to adults as if they’re kids. I’m eating initial cost because asking my guys to contribute to what they and their peers are supposed to collect is retarded. I’m gonna buy a lot of the best candy I can find, like the almond butter snickers or somesuch.

———But “trick!” Oh I’m giving 20-30 year old lil circuit board modules from amps we don’t use, old counter-clockwise fans, manuals from any and all devices. It’s gonna be reallly funny when I say “oh you get an AC inlet module!” Hahahaha.
