Funny you should say that as I saw somewhere Aus was criticised for not maintaining a military presence in Israel despite supporting it in its war against the terrorists but then I saw this:

"The Australian government is sending a “significant contingent” of aircraft and supporting troops to the Middle East on standby in the event “this gets worse”".

Most of the men my grandfather was imprisoned with along the Burma-Thailand railroad system as a guest of the Japanese, were Australian. British second, some Dutch and American. The ‘Roos will fuck this up somehow.
