I don't know why it went to anon, but fuckit.

One of my favorites was when I went to Florence Griffith Joyner Elementary, located in the shadows of the Watts Towers, to fix a network switch. This had to be...oh, 2004 or 2005. Parked across the street, pretty sketchy, but in front of a market. Then walked over 103rd to the front of the school, went to the front door, and....nothing. Was locked. WTF, it's locked? Banged on the door a bit, waited 30 secs, then said fuckit and turned around. These fuckers are still getting billed.

Got down the steps and a little further when I heard the door open. I turned around and saw: An older jig poked his head out, looked left, looked right, then at me. Waved me on, like he was in a hurry. Did the hurry up wave again, so I fake-hustled it.

This is fucking weird, I thought. First time there, but seriously. All these nogs are like this? There wasn't hardly anyone on the street, either. I had figured they weren't awake yet, but this ain't right....

And dude had to escort me to the room, there wasn't anyone around, doors were open and the little nignogs were looking out, but they weren't stepping outside the boundary to the hallway.

Turns out, there was a shooting on the playground. A shooting. Before 9am. On the playground. Of a motherfucking elementary school. A place your 7, 8, and 9 year olds would go.

And while that was shitty, the High Schools: Locke (before it became a magnet; it was a fucking prison--nothing more), Jordan, Manual Arts, Crenshaw, Inglewood...and God fucking help you if you had to go to the continuation school--Rodia. Like I said, those were nothing but prisons, and nobody, nobody was learning. You saw White kids there, and I wept for their future. The High Schools, more than anything, affected me personally. I became a different person--hardened, emotionless, just pissed off all the time. I was threatened several times (I carried a $4k laptop and $10k network equipment with me) and a couple of times just walked the fuck out when the niggers started yammering and squawking. I was there after dark once. Just once. Heard bullets whizzing in the air, not at me, but I heard them. Only one middle school had it's act together in all of the ones I went to, and there was probably 40 or 50.

Oh, there was a couple in San Pedro...White Point and South Shores. Could see the ocean from one of them. Those were normal. But hardly any niggers...and that's the point, eh?

Anyways, I have a few more, but mostly along those lines.
