I have two uncles who served in 'Nam. One of them had a hellish time and I'm one of the few people he opened up to for the stories. It did a number on him and he's still a neurotic wreck.

Now the other uncle... He has a fucking scrap book with a decent portion of it being pictures of the gooks he killed and he delightfully tells how he bagged them. It's crazy how people are geared so differently.
