is moving to the NYC area a good idea?

I currently live in the PNW to the east of Washington, close to Montana. My gf and her parents mostly live in the NYC area towards Long Beach Island with some sprinklings in Florida and I want to say the Carolinas? My prognosis being crap, I'm contemplating whether ill really be happy there. I love my guns, my church, and i love my quiet, rural life. Sure it's not much, but i live right across from thousands of acres of public land, just nice sweet nothing next to me. I can just go out, shoot some guns, read my Bible in my hot tub at night, make some nice tea, and i have a natural hot spring and lake down the road.

I don't really know what to expect of a place such as NYC or the surrounding areas. Can't really say I know much about the north east or what it has to offer. And outside me knowing im gonna die soon, i would never contemplate moving. But as it stands, my corpse on the floor of my house with no one to help me isnt' the most appealing thought. So really, what is it like out there? Would i be accepted or would it be an insta rage quit within a week?

You can't be for real. NYC is the last place in the US you should consider moving to. I moved there for work years ago and finally escaped to an area like yours, like I had grown up in. I won't even visit NYC never mind consider living in the northeast again.

Absolutely do not do this. I haven't been to Long Beach Island. It looks alright as far as NJ is concerned but remember, you will lose acccess to guns, nature, community, sanity, peace, and quiet.

Don't know the Long Island area specifically and NYC is a fucking shithole.

You currently enjoy living in a high-trust society in actual America.

An urban hell-hole like that would be quite an adjustment.

How many niggers do you see in an average year?

I'm willing to bet the number is less than a dozen, probably half that.

Prepare to see more niggers than you see in an entire year every day for as long as you live there.

If you truly have little time left on this earth, do yourself a favor and stay in God's country with your people.

Well in terms of niggers, I saw one at the store, and one at the gas station. Most are transients since we live next to a tourist town. In terms of seeing them in person, I can't say we saw more than 5. We joked about niggers in church, every time there's a black guy walking around we're amazed because we see them so little. People are almost curious about them, like were looking at an exotic zoo animal. Even Bozeman which is mega liberal central doesn't have more than a dozen or so

And Im proud of my state, we told the troon asshole to GTFO when he decided to be a troon

Sounds about like where I live.

I see a dozen niggers per year, max. Half of those are at fair, from out of state and I almost never see the same nigger twice. They're either passing through or they just don't last.

Unless you have some very important reasons to be somewhere other than where you are at, I would forget about the whole thing.

If you're seriously considering moving anyway, do yourself a favor and visit for a few weeks and see how it feels.

It's a different world out there.

I remember as a birthday gift to this guy who was somewhat young and shooting for like the second time, we gifted him like 1000 rounds of 556x he was so happy. Usually I’m not original so when I give gifts I tend to give away ammo, and cheaper used guns I don’t want. I’ve always seen all that stuff as normal because so many people I know also do it. But NY seems to have crazy restrictions on being able to just hold a gun by a licensed dealer.

Then there’s the incompetence issue. My gf is dazzled by my rural skills. But I can’t really see what she’s dazzled by, sanding a warped door or fixing plumbing is hardly the epitome of advanced home skills, so my guess is self reliance and adaptability isn’t really a thing out there.

Whenever I read the take over the world nwo bullshit I think to my hometown which is armed to the teeth on some super remote terrain and I just don’t see it happening like ever. Even assuming they could get crap out there, it would get destroyed from the elements and counter fire very rapidly. I don’t know, part of me thinks my horrible diagnosis is messsing with my brain.

New York City is a wonderful place! It's so diverse, with brown people everywhere and a crime rate that's through the roof. You'll love the vibrant culture and the friendly faces, brown and not so brown. Just make sure to stay alert and keep your belongings close, because crime is lovely and it's all around!
