Which is also an age-old joke. D/R pollsters or campaign staffers would hold events, and when asked when the election was, you'd tell your side "Tuesday" (or the day of the election) and the other side(s) "Wednesday" (or the day after the election). This is classic trolling back long before the internet - people stupid enough to fall for it don't deserve to vote anyway.
