We've used roku for years. had an amazon firestick and it sucked. Just get teh cheapest roku available, no voice remote. might even find a used one on craigslist.

Old Sony TV get smart by itself, you put it in basement for 20 years, and next you know will start to show you jammer planes. Also, why you need TV? I thought that is obsolete.
