Bought a body fat scale to measure my weightloss progress, only to learn it requires an app that slurps all my date. I

It does NOT need to know my location or have access to my phone contacts, my pics folder, and my camera in order to enable the body fat display. All it should need is a small app that allows me to input my age, gender, hight.

I am very resistant to just caving and allowing this fucker to have everything on my phone, not that the feds don't allready know who I am of course, just on principle.

What do?

Look, either you're working out and eating clean, like how @Trope describes below, or YOU'RE NOT. Unless it's programmed to zap you, take that "smart"watch off and put down the Chips A'Goy cookies.

My point exactly, I didn't read anything about an app when I bought it. It has a display built into the screen for body fat, why does it need to link to my phone?

Yeah, it’s why I don’t mess with any of that. No apps for me. My favorite one I hear about is the shooting app for practice with an unloaded gun in your living room. Great, now they can see who is a viable threat due to advanced shooting skills.

I was looking at a thing I think was called Skulpt. And supposedly it's as accurate as the measurement with calipers except you can do it yourself easily.
