Also, nothing he says in this video says anything against eugenics. Humans can definitely be selectively bred for any traits that we decide are "desirable", and out of traits that we decide are "undesirable".

The fact that we did exactly that with every animal we've domesticated proves this to be the case, as their genetics operates on exactly the same principles as ours.

Finally, I realize that in every large scale effort we cannot expect a uniform result (which we cannot achieve), we instead operate on tendency which we most certainly can affect, reducing the chances of certain traits expressing themselves in individuals within our populations, and also reducing the number of individuals carrying these traits within their genomes.

There is no scientific or practical objection to eugenics, there is only a moral objection, and even that can be argued.
Eugenics is something we either practice blindly or we practice it with intention, we are already making decisions that select for what kind of people get to reproduce, we are just purposefully ignoring that this is an effect our decisions are producing.

Humans are no longer shaped purely by natural selection, our genetic distribution is more affected by laws, political policies, and government services than it is by our access to food or avoidance of predators.
