They say they "believe" a diesel car started the fire lmao ok.

Electric vehicles in car park go boom.

Range Rovers were total pieces of shit even before they were sold to India. I completely believe this is really what happened. The electric vehicles made it worse, but the stats show that electrics have few fires than normal cars. Hybrids have the highest incidence. Range Rovers are just garbage vehicles. Many such cases! Ferrari is also known for junk build quality and catching on fire.

Not saying they aren't, but having a mass of lithium bundled into a confined space, in a situation where any old crappy car can be used to start the chain reaction is nuts.

The electric vehicles made it more difficult to extinguish the fire but any ICE vehicle is going to burn up just the same in this scenario. The plastics and fabrics burn easily and eventually the fuel tank goes.

'The temperature of the flames soared well over the 600C (1,110F) that would destroy the building's integrity, and one fire officer said it would have hit six million watts.'

wtf does that even mean?

Watts or even BTUs isn’t a particularly useful measure in this instance as time is a factor that must be taken into account.
