We should not be relying or trusting (((them))) to do it for us. Learn how to strip the ExDif data yourself. It's not that hard and you can write a simple script (or take one from the web) and automate it, or manually batch them.

In windows, you can:
1. right click on the image
2. properties
3. select details
4. click the blue text at the bottom "remove properties and personal information"
5. select "remove the following..."
6. select "all"
7. press OK

This will strip all user data from the images, no external tools required.

The chances of these users bothering to remove the data themselves isn't statisically reasonable for 99% of uploaded photos.

GIMP 2.0 can strip metadata from your photos for those that aren't aware. It's free and easy to do. Just in case you weren't sure if the photo had anything embeded or not.

That is EXACTLY why I don't post photos online. One can find tools that can remove exif data from photos, but I don't think it's worth the trouble when I can simply not upload photos to any web site.

No. Your files are a 1-to-1 copy of the file you upload. We do not remove EXIF data, extraneous metadata, or anything else you might have hidden in the image. We also do not compress/resize your images.


mossad pro tip: send your pictures to yourself on Signal, it will strip metadata and then you can also access it from a PC
