With the flick of his wrist, God can toss out those people and give us the city." God tells them that he can, but he won't. The people need to put show they trust him by showing they are ready to sacrifice their lives. And when they do, God will make sure they succeed. The people whine and complain because they're scared. Because they don't want to make any sacrifices. That God should just do it for them while they sit back and do nothing.
What does God do?
