Hell, time isn't even "time" (at least not the way most people think of it, anyway), and matter doesn't even matter, because it isn't even "matter".

Space is a horrible name for "space", it's more of a 3D substrate. The word space makes people think it's empty. Time is an illusion, there is variable relative change between particles/waves based on the density of space. The density of space depends on the amount of matter present. The space around mass bends towards it, causing gravity.

I also believe space is quantized, despite an expensive experiment that claimed to prove otherwise. I believe there is a conspiracy to hide real physics with bullshit like string theory to keep the best technology from people who are not in the big group. The denser space is, the slower a mass/photon "vibrates" because it is being transferred between space "cells". Physicists will deny that space does this then add in things like the an omni-present Higgs field to explain the same behavior.

Good point. Black holes evaporate into photons.

If there were only photons in universe there would be no mass, and no way to keep time. Hence no distance between points since distance is measured with time.

So no mass no time no separation.

In other words big bang conditions.

So space and time seem related.

'time' is used ambiguously, which is part of the problem. In its basic sense, time is duration, and it's defined in relation to space, in that an object 'takes time' to cross space. The Special Theory (which is the general theory) errs in that it defines time as nothing more than clocks. There's a vidya of a Aussie or Kiwi physics prof talking about it that I'll try to find...

I don't disagree with general relativity. I just think packing a matrix for one calculation doesn't make everything in it literally the same thing. It's just a bad conceptual interpretation, and people in charge of explaining it should stop saying it.

You get Minkowski spacetime with special relativity, which was 10 years before Einstein formulated general relativity. The "sonic universe" model I referred to gives a physical explanation for Lorentz time and space dilation. It is not a refutation of relativity.

This may not be mind-changing, but hopefully interesting at least:

Space and time are part of the same 4D manifold, and everything inside it is always moving at top speed (1c), relative to some observer of course.

Therfore, if some object is motionless, that must be because it has full speed in the time direction, where 1c translates to 1 second per second. If an object starts moving through spatial dimensions, it occurs by rotating that 1c vector to point slightly through space, detracting from time a small amount / passing more slowly.

For something moving at 1c through space, time stands still.

Time is a human construct. Space… well who knows what space is. The ether, vacuum, mass. What space are you referring to?

This is how I consider time. We only know the concept of it because of the motion of the earth and moon around the sun. Secondly, it is a measurement of the previous statement(rotations and revolutions of the earth and motion of the moon). Therefore it is an concept or idea and not a tangible thing that can actually be traveled through, like space(physical) is. All that exists, time-wise, is the here and now. Realize that the normal "flow of time" is non existent. You can't travel forward or backwards in it, as it does not exist. It is a measurement. plain and simple.
