Why can't anyone seem to understand that the people who sold the slaves were themselves black Africans who captured them as slaves after defeating them in tribal warfare? Let me repeat that. Black Africans sold those slaves for profit because they were members of opposing tribes whom they did not see as their brothers but enemies. That is why they had no qualms about selling other black people to White people. Because they didn't see it as a black and White issue. Their enemy was the opposing tribe of Africans, and so when the Europeans arrived looking to trade, they had slaves to sell because they had already been engaged in this kind of practice of taking their defeated tribal enemies as slaves for presumably a very long time.

They engaged in the same kind of more localized fighting that the Europeans did when the Romans conquered most of Europe, and then the English, French, German, and all other European people fought with each other for centuries. That is just human nature. You end up fighting with the other cultures who are closest to you first, simply because they are close to you. You end up running into each others territory and competing for resources earlier than other groups halfway around the world, obviously.

Its totally insane that we have this entirely false version of history now that virtually everyone in the world believes, that essentially says that White people did all the bad stuff and brown people just did nothing but suffer. It's completely fucked and you all know this, but the average person has no idea whatsoever what actually happened. They aren't even aware that Europeans were captured and enslaved by North Africans and Turks, Eurasian steppe horse people, and even each other. And were colonized many times over in various places.

Okay, but really, if the difference is not paying them again and keeping them here or paying them again and they leave…
