The united States should nationalize the the federal reserve. The cost would be the amount needed to pay for the buildings and the furnishings. We don't pay for the created money supply because it was conjured out of thin air and has no intrinsic value. We don't pay for the IP because it was developed using our money. Once it's under the control of the treasury, we can unwind it. We can negate all interest owed by the government, we can start absorbing all back foreign debt. We could ensure all banks that owed it money would continue to pay their interest to the treasury. Keep the banks enslaved. With that one move, we could eliminate income tax.
