Isn't this nigger under investigation for groping wyt womens?

Who cares about jew accusations? Tyson has abandoned science in favor of left wing dogmas. That is why he has no credibility.

Isn't everyone who says something someone doesn't like?

[ - ] observation1 4 points 6 monthsSep 30, 2023 12:40:50 ago (+5/-1)*

kind of a trip to think about.

anything hundreds of lightyears away that we see, means it happened so long ago, because it took the light a long time to get here. We are looking into the past, time traveling by observation.

[ - ] GetFuckedCunt -3 points 6 monthsSep 30, 2023 16:08:58 ago (+1/-4)

It's the equivalent of believing in any other fairy tale. We aren't looking at a past because everything you know about space is narrated to you by mainstream media. Nobody has ever been to space, though we are told by all governments that we have. When we look at the lights in the sky, that's exactly what we see. Lights. Nothing less, nothing more. Anyone claiming otherwise has the burden of proof and images or video will not suffice.

Spoken like a true shaman of the cave people.

Hold out your hand at arm’s length. Close one eye. Now open that eye and close the other. Your hand will seem to move against the background. Your two eyes and your hand form a long triangle. If you measure the distance your hand moved (and the distance between your eyes), you can calculate the length of your arm without having to measure the length of your arm.

Neat! Is that trigonometry by chance? Sounds like big brain stuff.

[ - ] observation1 -1 points 6 monthsSep 30, 2023 22:37:08 ago (+0/-1)

it is super cool. And simpler than it sounds. The geometry is better illustrated here:

https://simongros1990com.files.wordpress.com/2023/01/parallax.jpg

Basically its just the point where the two lines intersect. Look up "parallax" for explanation.

[ - ] GetFuckedCunt 0 points 6 monthsOct 1, 2023 02:37:16 ago (+0/-0)

Cool story bro. Now show your calculations for working out the distance to that light. Then show me the math behind the spectroscopy for calculating the chemical make up of that light. Then finally show me how that gas/matter can exist in a vacuum without being physically contained. Meanwhile they are just lights in the sky that have never deviated from their orbit around the Earth, forming the exact same constellations because the "space" they exist in is not infinite nor expanding. Those lights are not unfathomable distances away.

Here:

Do you imagine theres a difference on how to measure distance from the light reflecting off your hand versus light reflecting off a star?

Meanwhile they are just lights in the sky that have never deviated from their orbit around the Earth, forming the exact same constellations

Incorrect. The constellations are changing and have been changing throughout history.

https://history.aip.org/exhibits/cosmology/ideas/astrology.htm

The stars that make up the big dipper are relatively close to earth -most are only 100 light years away, so their movement is more apparent and have already changed when we compare them to past.

There are other obvious examples such as barnards star. The below gif plots 20 years (from 1985 to 2005):

Just like I thought. You can't showcase the math so you have to defer to an authority figure to give you the answers that conform with the narrative they have created in your head. You are one of those people that un-ironically "trust the science" when no scientific method has even been utilized. You are part of a religion that claims to be scientific yet are far from it.

You also love to smell your own farts.

[ - ] observation1 0 points 6 monthsOct 1, 2023 17:20:53 ago (+0/-0)*

Lol. Dont confuse ascii limitations of posting formula text (or my willingness to illustrate with a picture), with not understanding a parallax. Geometry was around before "trust the science". Look at the picture. I put it there for a reason since you are obviously unfamiliar. A picture is worth a thousand words, except if youre unwilling to look at it.

This is undeniable math. Do it yourself on paper.

Nearly All the science videos on YouTube now are AI made fakes. Hard to find real stuff, it's bizarre.

Maybe Betelgeuse woke up this morning and it only felt 10% exploded, so it shone on as usual.

But what if Betelgeuse wakes up tomorrow and it feels 90% exploded? That queer star will light up with sky with its queer light.

Have we learned nothing from the gender spectrum? Black science man learned.

It takes a few lightyears to become visible in australia.

If I recall correctly, it takes about 600 light years for the light from Betelgeuse to reach us. It is a red super giant that may very well have exploded by now, but fuck science nigger. Dudes a fucking tard.

Edit : A word. I said gas giant instead of super giant.

[ - ] VitaminSieg 3 points 6 monthsSep 30, 2023 15:01:26 ago (+3/-0)

betelgeuse is a gas giant
space is a vacuum
What happens to gases in a vacuum?
Mainstream space science is nigger-tier.

[ - ] McNasty 1 point 6 monthsSep 30, 2023 12:57:35 ago (+5/-4)

Everything they tell you about space is fake and gay.

[ - ] MartinTimothy [op] 0 points 6 monthsOct 1, 2023 13:44:44 ago (+0/-0)

Update: 2:00 am Monday Oct. 2, 2023 Betelgeuse is shining on as normal under a very bright Moon, itself a few degrees shy of what looks like will be a very close conjunction with planet Jupiter.

Thus from an astrological perspective Moon conjunct Jupiter in the star sign Taurus can denote over eating going on to gluttony in under developed persons .. so we will see what turns up I suppose, and whether the effect will be visible on the world stage.

Stupid pseudo intellectual nigger piece of shit.

[ - ] MoronSaint 0 points 6 monthsSep 30, 2023 19:03:06 ago (+0/-0)

He didn't say it "just exploded". He said it's going to. He's not wrong. It's a dying sun. You're an idiot.

I also live in Brisbane Australia and have never seen the night sky look like this. Are you using some sort of editing software to expose the stars?

[ - ] boekanier 0 points 6 monthsSep 30, 2023 13:06:15 ago (+1/-1)

impossible, completely bs.
