Idea for a peoples car comes from Czech. It was invented by Hans Ledwinka and the the prototype was model V570 Lidovi Vus (peoples car). Hitler was using Tatra's during his political campaign such as the Tatra T77. Porsche stole the idea and after the war both Ledwinka and Porsche were in jail for war crimes however Ledwinka was sent to Russia and was there 5 years while Porsche was sent to France and out in a couple years. So while Ledwinka was in jail Porsche took off and when Ledwinka finally got out he was a broken man and died. Porsche was however was a great engineer and deserves respect.
