I always thought the name “Target” was strange. I remember when the Gemco in Sacramento was taken over because it was bought out by Target. It was the first I ever heard of Target and I didn’t even get that it was a National thing. I lived in Oakland, the 'good part'. In reality, it sucked shit and you paid much more than you would have in the worse areas and still had the same crime and filth everywhere.
There were empty storefronts and blocks of nothing, even in the good part. While I lived there they developed a lot of it into luxury apartments and faggoty, overpriced restaurants because of the techies in SF looking for a cheaper place to live.
I moved before the nigger riots that destroyed even more of the neighborhood. One of the famous videos from that time were niggers breaking into a car dealership and driving the cars around inside. That was around the corner from where I lived. Because of that the city lost a huge chunk of the tax base when not just that dealership, but several others moved out and never came back. They lost millions.
The area that was developed opened with a new Target. I don't know the exact date but it was pretty recent. Now, that Target is shuttering permanently.
