You can see here their primary and most basic tactic: "get the subject in an emotional state, specifically one of anger/hate/rage/etc." You'll notice the specific use of insults such as calling you crazy/stupid/etc. They do this to cause you to bypass your ability to think critically. Often times on the internet, even if you successfully control your emotions, they will then come in with a second controlled account to argue with themselves. The point of this is to derail the logic of a discussion of a topic, even though it didn't work on you. The idea is to get lurkers to fixate on the "drama" rather than anything of any sort of intellectual substance.

It's difficult to master your emotions at first, but if you stick with it, it's incredibly easy and dealing with them is almost literal child's play. After all, they are a truly unevolved group of people, which is becoming more and more obvious to everyone as time goes on.

What they really don't want is for us to understand that they create user accounts that are run by multiple people as a team. They are given specific people to target, and disinfo to put out. The idea is to make the trends they want to happen to appear to be organic. They always have one main goal though, and that's to disrupt the effective communication we could be having. You might think of it as "poisoning the well" that is a site like this.

I'll be damned if I don't feel personally attacked. Though I think I was sold initially by the Ontological Argument, the Unmoved Mover certainly reinforced it. But it was only after I coupled those with the "Finely-Tuned Universe Theory" (didn't know it had a name) that it became proof. I usually just reference the Fine Structure Constant because that concisely summarizes the delicate balance of all the forces.

I stopped arguing with atheists though. I think the last one I argued with, I said something like "We exist in a functional and ordered universe" and they responded "PROOF?" When one can't cogito, there will be no ergo sum.
