Because when they stop being such, large numbers of people can and will come to the conclusion that they'd rather fight, then be finger wagged about "you shoulda voted different then!" while their livelihoods, communities, and their family's futures, not to mention their entire nation, is systematically stolen, demographically replaced, and lockdown with one crisis and federal over reach after another. Basically they've kicked a wasp nest.
People who control the beltway don't see it because there are a few thousand people working in federal regime NGOs, all over the net, posting how "no one will do anything.", and "no one is waking up."
Unfortunately for them, from what I'm seeing of news events, even the ones they try to cover up, they're wrong.
People, including veterans, are starting to talk. They're starting to realize its going to be an actual fight. Mostly from lack of representation in the current congress.
if the intelligence community aren't total retards, they'll attempt to manage the war into something equivalent of left vs right, and/or states vs federal, with a predetermined outcome.
And I don't think matt gaetz suddenly throwing his hat in the ring with "muh republicans are ALL democrats in disguise! Conservatives demand results" is gonna change much. I think its a little too late for that. Least of all for whatever grievances that are currently motivating the guys sabotaging warehouses and warren buffets raillines while making it look like unions did it.
I don't think any managed 'civil war' is gonna go the way the regime hopes it will, let alone a walk back. I just got a hunch.
What they need to be doing and preparing for is damage control and mitigation not trying to find a way out of either collapse, civil war, or a pivot to 'muh civic nationalism'. Mostly because the permanent bureaucracy really doesn't do anything real well when directed by stigmergy, except doubling down, which isn't effective here.
Cutting losses (narrative failures) are what is needed, along with some red meat for the public to feel dignified over crucifying.
Also moving them deeper into the country actively increases mixing. You have to think about these racial problems on 50,000 year timescales because that or longer is the length of consequences on a people having sub-standard genetics. One generation of "maybe they will vote better" is not worth the lost of geographic separation (or further degradation of it). If Texas gets invaded then the line between mostly white and mostly hispanic just shifted geographically by a hair. That's a minor loss by comparison. On the 50,000 year time scale the US doesn't even exist so we shouldn't even really consider the municipal boarders. If we want to reduce genetic flow geographic separation is key. Abbot made the problem worse.
But to them every hispanic is just a potential republican if they can reduce ghettoization and improve assimilation. But anti-ghettoization is just stirring the pot more.
