Has Anyone Else Been Really Depressed Lately?

submitted by Scyber to whatever 7 monthsSep 24, 2023 22:27:57 ago (+24/-0)     (whatever)

I don't know if it's just me, but I've been unnaturally depressed the past month or so. Nothing bad has happened to me, but I have a feeling of dread and constantly worried that something really bad is gonna happen to society - worse than 9/11, worse than covid & the lockdowns - I don't know what it is but I can't shake this feeling.
I've also been on edge and snapping over little things too. Every little task feels like a chore.

1. Increase your exposure to natural sunlight daily.
2. Get your digestive health under control by limiting processed-shit food intake.

Over 80% of your body's serotonin production is in your digestive tract. It is the easiest thing for you to do start helping your overall physical & mental health naturally.

Do those two things daily for over 90 days and you will see improvement.

Came here to violently agree.

“Mental Health” is liberal dogshit tooted by the media. Meds and therapy. Fuck that. Eat only beef, salt to taste, and watch all of your issues dissappear within a few short days. Go outside, get some sunshine, move around, and grill some steaks. God gave us everything we need and it’s right outside your house. Don’t believe in God? That’s neat.. Go outside and eat steak.

Therapy is kikeshit. Eat a steak, weakfags.

Concur. suffered for decades with clinical depression, crippling anxiety, insomnia etc etc.GP prescribed SSRI's and assorted pharma meds - turned me into an obese, slow, dull witted, confused and apathetic goy - that drank bottles of soda, gorged down on candy, chocolate and processed goy-slop. Covid lockdowns and refusal to get jabbed, gave me the impetus to completely re-work my diet and finally become serious about my physical / mental health.Gave up 2x SSRI's, 2x anxiety meds, 4x blood pressures, statin etc. Lost 30 kgs - mostly through diet and very light exercise and stretching - completely eliminated all goy-slop, processed foods, coffee, sugar, seed oils etc. Use only 100% grass fed meats, butter, pure dripping, filtered water and organic green tea - Blood pressure dropped and stabilized, mental cognition night and day to three years ago.Take daily regime organic quality essential vitamins, minerals, antioxidents, amino acids etc - anxiety and depression essentially non-existent. Diet and quitting pharma meds - imo were the biggest factor along with daily L-carnitine, DLPA, Glycine, Relora (magnolia extract).

I'm the same minus gaining that much weight. I eat and drink goyslop, and continue to gorge on carbs and sugar even after eating a short time beforehand.

Don't forget to supplement electrolytes. I know it's commie faggotry, but check out the r/keto subreddit. There's a few associated subreddits with more specialized info, as well as a keto gains subreddit for if you exercise hard and want to gain mass I guess.

^ This. Make grass-fed unprocessed animal products the big chunk of your diet: eggs, fish, meat, butter, etc. Avoid sugar and bread. Do a couple days of fasting every couple months. You'll see the quality of your life skyrocket.

[ - ] Trope 10 points 7 monthsSep 24, 2023 23:14:36 ago (+10/-0)

This is a good thing to talk about.

I want to you take what I say very seriously and take this into consideration. The food we eat absolutely affects us. 100% without any shred of doubt. I too cycle through moods and “feeling off” and it’s because my eating habits are cyclical. I often experiment in my body and see how certain foods make me feel.

All of last month, I was eating a lot of dairy, Greek Yogurt, cottage cheese, and Whole milk. I was badly sunburnt and wanted to eat plenty of calories to heal my flesh. After a few weeks, I noticed I was feeling often tired and low energy. Wife said I was snoring a lot. Looked up several youtube videos on snoring but they were all bullshit. It was actually the comments on the videos where people said they quit dairy and it stopped their snoring. So I cut out all dairy and sure as shit: the snoring stopped. This leads me to believe dairy causes inflammation.

If I eat only beef, after a few days, I start to feel amazing. Not tired. No brain fog. After a few weeks or beef only, the slight dry feeling in my eyes goes away and I have massive energy and passion to get stuff done.

If I eat refined carbohydrates, I feel like shit the next day. If I eat sugar, I am exhausted the next day. Any seed oils will give me brainfog the next day. However, fresh fruit and raw honey have no effect on me.

Yesterday I ate a family-size box of Mac n Cheese and I’ve felt like shit both physically and spiritually all day but man, that mac n cheese hit the spot. Still: Back to mostly beef as I am too busy to afford bullshit off-days.

Try the elimination diet for yourself. Chances are it will literally fix all of your non-financial problems. After a while, it will fix your financial problems too as you’ll turn into a natural hunter and will be high-energy in your work and business.

IT IS NOT PSYCHOLOGICAL. IT IS STRICTLY PHYSIOLOGICAL. Garbage in, garbage out. Eat beef liver. Get sunshine and movement. Basically: Barbecue

What do you eat for healthy fats?

[ - ] NeedleStack 2 points 7 monthsSep 25, 2023 13:50:50 ago (+2/-0)

Just use Butter/ghee (which is clarified butter), bacon fat, and lard. No seed oils. Not even olive oil. I cook our bacon in bacon fat, steak in butter or ghee, eggs in butter.

[ - ] dassar 1 point 7 monthsSep 26, 2023 17:52:04 ago (+1/-0)

I love saving the bacon fat and then using on my home made oven fries etc - just cant beat the taste.

[ - ] Trope 0 points 7 monthsSep 26, 2023 21:32:20 ago (+0/-0)

Beef.

Ruminant animals can break down the seed oils from the corn/soy feed whereas pork and chicken cannot. This means the fatty acid profiles of beef are the most natural.

Beef fat is the best fat. Butter is also very nutritious.

[ - ] I_am_baal 4 points 7 monthsSep 25, 2023 01:44:46 ago (+4/-0)

That sounds like anxiety too. It could be a problem with your B12 levels. Try taking a test dose of cyanocobalamin that dissolves under the tongue, about 2500mcg (testing is inaccurate generally). Cyanocobalamin breaks down into a couple of different forms that the body needs to keep in balance, and it uses a methyl group to do that. So, if you have methylation issues, this might not be the best choice, but for most people, it works fine. With lymies at least and people with Bartonella, B12 deficiency is a common culprit for anxiety related problems. When my lyme was worse, and anxiety was more of an issue, taking 2500mcg of b12 would dissipate a panic attack in about 15 minutes.

Other things to check:

Magnesium - If you try taking magnesium, get magnesium citrate. It's a highly bioavailable form.

Minerals - Plenty of people are mineral deficient these days.

Mushrooms - It could be completely psychological. The world is crazy these days. Magic mushies help the brain remap itself and rewrite behavioral patterns. If you take them with the intention of addressing your depression and anxiety, they will probably help. Just do a lot of research before you jump in; you don't want to take them without knowing what to expect.

[ - ] absurdlyobfuscated 4 points 7 monthsSep 25, 2023 07:45:01 ago (+4/-0)

Should take methylcobalamin instead, supposedly it's safer.

The mineral deficiency thing is a massive part of the equation. You can't get everything from a multivitamin, but taking one is a good start. Above all, and I cannot stress this enough, take at least 6mg Boron per day. It's probably the most important mineral you need, and it's not easy to get enough even if you eat all the right foods. I started taking it in the last couple months and had a huge surge in energy, my joint pain vanished, I'm less stressed, I actually feel motivated to exercise, and I basically lost the slight uneasy sick feeling I'd had for years.

[ - ] dassar 1 point 7 monthsSep 26, 2023 18:05:36 ago (+1/-0)*

Yes, i read that cyanocobalamin also breaks down into minute arsenic (???) EDIT - i remember now, it produces a cyanide derivative, it's in the name 'cyan'- as it metabolizes and leeches out essential vitamins / minerals as the body deals with and processes the cynanide.) or something and basically then leeches essential vitamins/ nutrients from the body instead.
Methyl cobalamin is better because it doesn't do this.
Plus i use an organic ultra-absorption magnesium (contains 4 types of organic magnesium - zero oxide or phosphate) for my sons and take a High dose Natural marine sourced magnesium for myself.

[ - ] bobdole9 0 points 7 monthsSep 25, 2023 10:43:46 ago (+0/-0)

Have any recommendations on a boron source?

[ - ] absurdlyobfuscated 0 points 7 monthsSep 25, 2023 16:42:07 ago (+0/-0)

There are plenty of cheap supplements out there, and I'm sure pretty much any will work fine. Or you can just buy borax and sprinkle a little in with your food/water - just make sure it's pure sodium borate. You can get a lifetime supply from a single box of laundry soap.

If you try all the advice here and still struggle with anxiety, try cutting out potatoes and salicylates entirely. Basically mint and pretty much all herbs - even the mint in your toothpaste. Some people are sensitive to those.

[ - ] Smedleys_Butler 2 points 7 monthsSep 25, 2023 06:26:23 ago (+2/-0)

Yep. But I've had a lot of curveballs thrown at me this summer. Just got hit with one thing after another. Sometimes do box breathing techniques, if I get an anxiety attack, or take low dosage alprozolom (try not to take it regularly, my other medication usually keeps me in balance). Keep on keeping on man.

[ - ] TheGreatWar 1 point 7 monthsSep 25, 2023 14:25:39 ago (+1/-0)

I am depressed. For 43 years I was happy and ignorant. I worked on myself and had a "healthy" goal-oriented lifestyle.

Then the thing happened. The real world dropped in and decided to stay. For the first time I was looking down from high places and feeling relief imaging myself splattered at the bottom.

You're going to get a lot of advice about how to end your depression but no one can tell you why you should. To the ignorant, this question of an ultimate purpose is merely an amusement. They can stay busy working out, making money, making friends, doing art, etc.

But I need firstly to know why I should end my depression? Why should I get out of bed, work, or eat? Is my ultimate purpose merely palliative self-care? If that's the case I may as well do an efficient job of it and finish within the hour. I'm only still alive because I've realized how limited, stupid, and untrustworthy human reason is. If I could trust reason then suicide would be the only option. Nihilism is sound.

I've been listening to Christian Apologist John Lennox. As a professor emeritus of mathematics from Oxford, he knows how to use the most precise language of reason, and its limits. I had to laugh when he pressed Richard Dawkins for an example of transcendence through human reason (secular humanism) and Dawkins came back with birth control. LoL. Behold the Glory. Life's mysteries revealed!!! And that's about all I can do is laugh at the absurdity of literally everything.

[ - ] dassar 0 points 7 monthsSep 26, 2023 21:26:49 ago (+0/-0)

For me the why, other than offspring, is simply because intergenerational uber wealthy elites want me depressed on meds, eating goy slop and stuck feeling helpless and disenfranchised in a re-occurring never ending loop of msm/ kabuki political theatre garbage.
This life might well be the only one i ever get, so i'm gonna make the most of it, for as long as i can.

Download an app called personaldnsfilter and you can block all social news aggegator sites. Then edit your hosts file in your computer and block the same sites. Take the batteries out of your tv remotes. Then take hikes in nature and, at night, read that book on your shelf thats been begging to be read. Give it a week or until 3 books are finished.

Kinda my default setting, so hard to tell, but end of summer, shorter days, cooler temps, yeah probably.

[ - ] allAheadFull 1 point 7 monthsSep 25, 2023 03:51:47 ago (+1/-0)

Same. I've been in doors too much for complicated reasons. Here's my advice if you want it. Magnesium, D3, Potassium, Vitamin C, Iodine, Multi-vitamin.

Use the Life Enhancement brand, you can find it locally sometimes, otherwise order it. Lugols Iodine works fine. Pure Encapsulation is also a good brand. Real quality vitamins are great, low quality may not help at all or may poison you.

I'm sure you know you need to stop drinking and doing drugs and get on a regular sleep schedule, but if you're like me you probably won't do it.

Go on the Paleo diet, it works. Also reduce your exposure to cellphone and WiFi signals, it really helps.

[ - ] MuricaPersonified 1 point 7 monthsSep 25, 2023 02:22:16 ago (+1/-0)

Yeah. Quarterly tax rape on top of impending property tax kinda does it for me.

There are other reasons, but I don't feel like bitching about them; it's pointless and perspective changes help.

[ - ] Cantaloupe 1 point 7 monthsSep 25, 2023 02:21:58 ago (+1/-0)*

Have you noticed any changes in your day-to-day life recently? Maybe you’ve had less sleep lately, or your routine has changed, or you’ve taken on new responsibilities?

Write down what your fears are. What is the probability it might actually happen. If the probability is low what is a more realistic outcome. What would you tell a friend who had those fears. Is there a more reasonable realistic positive way to look at the situation?

Try to label your concerns. Try to find some things to laugh about. Consider what steps would alleviate your concerns there are always some that could be taken, ways to prepare for a social break down or war.

Here's a short prayer for you.

God, you see every heartache and struggle that people face, including the many who battle with anxiety. Please be near to those who are hurting today, and grant them comfort and peace in their time of need. Help them to put their trust in you and to find rest in your presence. Show them that you care deeply for them and that you will never leave their side.

[ - ] jigganiggaboo 1 point 7 monthsSep 24, 2023 23:58:09 ago (+1/-0)

I have been feeling this way for a bit myself but the only thing I can really reccomend you can do is enjoy what you have, as much as you can while you have it, becuase you never know when it will all disappear, or if it will even disappear. At least thats how I have been looking at it. I dont know might sound stupid.

[ - ] MrPancake 0 points 7 monthsSep 25, 2023 10:37:41 ago (+0/-0)

Yes; but it happens around the equinox for me every year. A mix of anxiety driven motivation combined with paralyzing depression. Something tells me it is an instinct that kicks in prior to winter.
