I would love to know the back-story on how this got started. Did it spring up organically? Did a Texas veteran settle down somewhere around there? Was there a redneck tourist looking at these tractors one day and just make an off-hand comment, "Ya know what yall oughta do is supe these things up and race 'em!" and plant a seed?

(I come from 'shine country, and 'shiners, and NASCAR go started by some good ol' boys just racing their 'shine runners around somebody's cornfield. "Just run whatcha brung.")
