Exactly how far did he have to bike to work, half mile in moderate weather without snow? When I was in my early 20's I used to bike eleven miles a day to work and back, I'd ask coworkers for rides on really heavy snow days. I lived up a hill, about 2 miles of nothing but uphill every day after work. Socked away all my money and eventually put myself through college and THEN I had children. And this guy gets a reward...
