I'm not sure a rug exudes "drowsy fragrances" more like ... like I can't think of an apt phrase. Rugs tend to have a pleasant human-interacting-with-material smell. Like a person's jacket. When I was a kid my ol' man smelt of his workplace - pencil shavings, paper etc.
