Here's one of those things that is good to follow to its logical conclusion. If you can't stop a robber the only defense is to have nothing to steal. The problem with that is some people want your body and productivity so their solution is you submit to slavery, or just live in a hidden hole in the ground and eat bugs. But they have ground penetrating radar and they will come for your bugs.
