I don't have any problem with a woman who is conscious about the wager she is making and wants to bag a guy who makes $X or more per year.

My problem is with a woman who is a strong 3 laughing at men who don't make that much like they're not worth her second thought. Social media is mostly to blame for this; women get the slightest bit of vidication and it lights up the 'I must be of high value' centers of their brains. They walk about thinking they're 10s.

To be fair though, if this is NY, then this could have more to do with cost of living. $75k in NYC would be like $40k in a smaller Midwestern area. It would probably be stupid to live in NYC making at or below that salary, so given that the city is going to filter for incomes at which it is rational to live there, she probably 'swims' in a pool of people who make substantially more than $75k. Put another way, what she is considering right now would be like you considering someone making $40k or less if you're in Detroit, Milwaukee, Cincinatti, Indianapolis, etc.

The people who create this content know what they're doing. They know $75k is pretty respectable most other places. So they're walking around in 'super expensive town' and asking people what they think about things that most other people can't relate to. When, inevitably, the ditzy blonde laughs at something normal for most others, they know it will bristle 95% of the people who ever watch the video. In internet land, joy and anger are equally profitable.

On the one hand, good for her for cutting out seed oils and being careful about what she eats.

On the other hand, I can afford to eat like that while making roughly $40k a year. Maybe she's somewhere with a much higher cost of living?

Either way, she's delusional if she thinks she deserves a better than $75k/year man.
