You misunderstand. You, your immediate family, your descendants, are not going to be allowed to do this in the future. You are going to be pitted in a never ending war to pacify you with the people and problems created and/or imported to distract, and harm you and your interests.
Your options are lay down and die, and the regime will be happy to see you do that. Or fight, as you have been ordained to, like the forever-divided internecine conflicts of middle-eastern micro-sects.
Fight for the regime against competing criminals or die. Refusal to participate is death for you and your loved ones, your future, and anything else you hold dear.
Unfortunately I am just realizing the convergence of this truth, that my only future is this. A never ending sea of competing with infinite foreigners, my kids, the rest of my family and those who are like me, fighting over less and less forever, or pushing back and being crushed into dust or red paste by some dronestrike/5 am raid/gulag/gang warfare by the overmilitarized intelligence junta running the west.
You can be a conscript, at least exacting petty revenges on the people you are selected to fight against. You can be a conscript, or you and yours can be a corpse.
What, you gonna go "in da woods?" with infinite military sensing tech to hunt you down like dogs? Or infinite bounties/propaganda to demonize you to the public who will all turn into the proverbial agent smith out to turn in a big bad terrorist? You gonna run for office in a fully controlled 'election' system?
What you gonna do, huh?
It's not about control. It's about sending a message. That men like me still exist. We'll fight the regime's wars, just don't tell us how to live.
And when its all said and done, you can't be someone who even dares whisper "I am the machete, and i'm coming to carve the face off every single person working in xyz propaganda office!"
But, like a dangerous wild animal, a dog with rabies, you can be someone who they learn to lose sleep over at night, even if they keep you on a short chain while you're still useful.
And thats the best vengeance, the only justice any man can really hope to exact anymore.

The colonists didn't have climate control, fast food, unlimited entertainment or pornography. They weren't being chemically poisoned. They worked laborious jobs and not in a cuck office.
