My city has better bike lanes than proper roads. The bike lanes are two wide, great condition, fully segregated with grass between them the sidewalk, and road. Theyre so good ive seen cars accidentally pull onto them on accident. Faggot bicyclists still ride in the road

One of the things that struck me (no pun) when I last visited Civic in the centre of Canberra was how Canberrans have accepted cyclists and learned to live with them- Cyclists darted about everywhere and no-one seemed fazed. But Cyclists can be arseholes. They speed in crowded areas; sound their bell unnecessarily.

I'll never agree with any regulation but it doesn't make that much sense for scooters to be that much faster, because at that point it should be a motorcycle. You are absolutely right that a scooter belongs on the road, but anyone who isn't an asshat should limit themselves to certain kinds of roads or people have a right to be frustrated with you. Otherwise go get a real bike.

It does sound like you are are around some meth'd and nic'd rednecks. But I could also see how if you have a lot of rural one lane roads that go long distances that could be annoying. It sounds like neither of us are government lovers so you can agree that the speed limit is just a number. If I had to go strictly the speed limit for 10 miles I'd be pissed too. Like I said, if you are on a scooter you should limit the kinds of roads and the amount of time you spend on certain kind of roads otherwise you are the asshole.

I'm not generally for licensing but compared to a lot of things a license to ride a bike on a >25mph road while over the age of 16 could absolutely be a thing. Makes more sense then getting a license to cut hair or to fish.

If they are about to make a traffic maneuver they basically should join the rest of traffic and behave under the same rules as cars. The alternative is cyclists that just do whatever when they hit an intersection.

What I really hate is cyclists that try to have it both ways. You should either act as a pedestrian that happens to be on a bike, or a vehicle that happens to be on a bike. You pick one and you do those rules. Anyone who doesn't deserves to be run over.
